ADNOX^® 1098

ADNOX^® 1098 – a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant, is an efficient, non-discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates such as plastics, synthetic fibers, adhesives, and elastomers, and is particularly effective in polyamide polymers and fibers. ADNOX® 1098 provides excellent processing and long-term thermal stability as well as excellent initial resin color. It is especially suited for the stabilization of polyamide molded parts, fibers, and films, also it can be used in polyacetals, polyesters, polyurethanes, adhesives, elastomers as well as other organic substrates.

Application

Antioxidant ADNOX1098 is a nitrogen-containing hindered phenolic antioxidant, which has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, extraction resistance, no pollution, no coloring, etc. It is suitable for polyamide, polyurethane, polyoxymethylene, polypropylene, ABS resin, polystyrene, etc. Stabilizer for rubber and elastomer. It is used in polyamide to show good initial chromaticity. It is often used in combination with phosphorus-containing antioxidant 168, antioxidant 618 and antioxidant 626, and the synergistic effect is remarkable. For nylon 6, nylon 66 can be added before or after the polymerization of monomers, or dry mixed with nylon chips. The general dosage is 0.3-1.0%.

The special antioxidant 1098 is used to prevent polyamide nylon products from losing strength and toughness due to oxidation yellowing and degradation. Polyamide polymers have double bonds in the main chain of the molecule, and they are particularly susceptible to oxidation reaction damage and breakage. With the degradation of the material and the breakage of the main chain, the exposed surface of the PA polymer material begins to appear yellowing, cracks, and this antioxidant can make it well protected.
